Concerning Diesel Punk, I believe the excellent Day After Ragnarok by Kenneth Hite is also considered part of the same “genre”.
Interesting. I wouldn’t have thought that as I always imagined it to be more post-apocalyptic in many ways, but given how the tech is used and the era in which it takes place, I can see how it fits.
